Zirobwe

Zirobwe, Luwero is in the southern part of Uganda about 90 km north of Kampala. Between 1980-1986, Luwero was a war zone for the liberation war. Luwero was characterized by ruined buildings and single-parent families with children making up 80% of the population. Men were enrolled in this movement and others died as a result of attacks. Women were also taken to give services to the army. The instability was a prime opportunity for HIV/AIDS and other diseases to spread through this district, leaving many children orphaned and vulnerable. A charity called Empower a Child runs a school, entrepreneurial programs, and medical clinic here and in partnership with them, Share His Heart hosts a worship conference in the village church each year. This conference is targetted to educate the villagers and pastors on what the life of a believer and worship of God looks like.
