There was once a young man who came to volunteer with Mother Teresa. The man explained that his reason was because he wanted to serve the poor and needy. She promptly told him to go home because if his reason for serving wasn’t to love Jesus more fully by serving Him in the form of those needy individuals then he would burn out. Similarly, our goal is not to just provide education to the desperately poor in the communities that we serve; instead our goal is to serve Jesus and usher others into His presence because He is worthy of their praise and love.

Education is one key piece that allows us to love others and help them to know God. The children receive Biblical training in school, the ability to read, write, communicate and express worship to God. It is our goal that giving the gift of education to these child draws them into a deeper relationship with Jesus first and foremost. Other benefits like better job opportunities, pay, health, etc. will come as a natural byproduct.
